RGB controller with RF remote control allows the user to control light from any point of the room without being in line of sight. DMX-512 controller is used to create complex lighting effects with help of PC where special software is installed. In such cases, controller has a USB port to be connected to PC, own 220V supply source (built-in or detachable), a software and special sockets (RJ-45, RJ-11 or XLR-3). The data are transferred through DMX-512 digital protocol what permits to connect to only one controller up to 170 light sources (RGB wallwashers, LED modules, LED strips and LED light rope lights).

The main advantage of DMX-512 controllers is their capability to transfer a signal to big distances (up to 100 meter) without signal power loss as the signal is transferred through digital protocol compared to usual RGB controllers which transfer the data using analog signal. Digital signal is converted to the analog one with help of special decoders which are connected to RGB signal source. So, distance from one wallwasher to another one can take up to 100meter. That’s why these controllers are widely used for illumination of buildings, parks, water falls, bridges and other large objects.

Multi-channel RGB controller is able to synchronize light effects of the RGB light sources through parallel connection of up to 2 lighting devices and to connect them to PC to create your own light effect and save them in memory of the controller. Additionally, multi-channel RGB controllers have preinstalled program to change the lighting modes.

RGB data repeaters serve to increase amount of the connected RGB modules or distance from a controller to RGB light source. Data repeaters can be connected parallel or in series in the circuit. Parallel connection is more preferred as power loss is decreased in such way.

Dimmers are extremely helpful to control brightness of monochrome lighting fixtures. The dimmers are controlled with help of remote control units or potentiometers built-in in the dimmer. There are also models which can be installed in walls like standard switches.
